The evil druids, that lurk in the depths of the Yew Crypts of Trammel, drop some items to help raise the stats and skills of pets. The elixirs and powerscrolls drop randomly and depending on your pet's existing abilities, may help make your pet stronger. Look for a white colored scroll which you double click to generate the pet powerscroll, or strange elixirs which you double click and target the pet.
